Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha. Along the way, you'll pass through the beautiful highlands of Tanzania and traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may spot Maasai herders and their cattle. As you enter Serengeti National Park, you'll immediately feel the vastness of the endless plains. This day includes a game drive en route to your campsite in the central Serengeti (Seronera area), known for its rich wildlife and year-round predator sightings. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at a public campsite, under the stars and surrounded by nature's sounds.
Over night Nyani public Campsite
Spend the entire day exploring Serengeti’s diverse landscapes and tracking its incredible wildlife. You’ll follow the great migration route if it’s the season, or focus on spotting the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The central Serengeti is home to large prides of lions, cheetahs on the hunt, and leopards lounging in acacia trees. The open savannah also supports herds of zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and gazelles. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue with the afternoon game drive until sunset, returning to your campsite for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti as you slowly make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes you through varied terrain, from open plains to hilly woodlands, with plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities along the way. As you approach the Ngorongoro highlands, the scenery changes dramatically. You’ll arrive at Simba Campsite, which is perched on the crater rim and offers stunning views into the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner is served at the campsite, and you’ll spend the night at this elevated, cool location.
Over night Simba A public Campsite
This is the highlight of the safari—an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. The crater’s rich soils and permanent water source make it a paradise for wildlife. Expect to see elephants, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, lions, hyenas, and possibly a rare black rhino. Flamingos and other birdlife are abundant around Lake Magadi inside the crater. After a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, you’ll ascend the crater wall and begin your drive back to Arusha, concluding your unforgettable safari experience.
